I'm having significant right wrist/hand pain after spending 6 hours yesterday using that funky little wrench thingy to assemble the futon sofa. So I'm crocheting on the shawl instead of knitting on the bag or the Manos sweater - crocheting is much easier on my wrist.
It was a good weekend, accomplishment-wise - the cats are loving the futon as much as I thought, they alternate naps there. It's quiet, it's down the hall so it's not heavily traveled, and a cat can really catch some Zs on that comfy sofa. We all could learn sleeping lessons from cats. They are world-class sleepers, I envy them.
I've made progress on the blue felted bag and the shawl. Laundry is done, cat hair is reduced, I bought a cute lamp for the dresser in the guest room at Target. The room needs art in a very major way, and I need to find something more suitable to cover the futon, but for now I have thrown a woven cotton blanket over the hideous khaki. It isn't as bright and fun as I had in mind, but it's a big improvement on the barracks theme.
And because my wrist demands it, I am going to keep this short.
