I hope you are all sitting down. Chew and swallow whatever is in your mouth. I don't want anyone choking on a Cheeto in their shock and amazement.
I am about to show Actual Knitting and Crocheting projects on this blog!!!

Here is the blue and green bag, pre-felting, in Giant Woolly Pillowcase condition. It really was huge. Like, pillowcase huge.

Here is the bag, post-felting.

I wasn't sure if I loved the colors or not while I was working on it, but post felting I totally, totally love it. I love its trim sturdy shape, too. Felting is so weird - I have made the same bag pattern (My Constant Companion)in the same yarn (Cascade 220) on the same needles several times, and each bag came out unique. I think this is my favorite, it's so square and sturdy it will stand up by itself when open, like a little box. And look at how much size it lost in the felting process - it's just amazing.

I finally finished putting the zipper into the small felted pouch from Weekend Knitting:

My imperfect photography doesn't do justice to the perfection of the zipper - I'm so damn proud of myself, I've never put a zipper into anything before, and I'm really delighted with the outcome.

Here's another view of the felted pouch.

Oh, go ahead and make one, you know you want to.

And now a switch to crochet and the peach Cascade Key Largo shawl, from the "All Season Shawl" pattern, which is so easy and fun, I'm addicted:

I didn't drag out the Softball cotton version of the All Season Shawl (which I just realized has the unfortunate acronym ASS) for photos, because it's too freaking hot out there to continue the photo shoot.

So there you have it, proof that I actually do make things with yarn, and even finish some of them.
