Yes, it's 3:30 a.m. and I'm not only awake but on my second cup of coffee. I fell asleep way too early and woke up achy and out of sorts. I'm sinus-y and my throat feels scratchy. Among the few benefits of living alone is one can get up in the middle of the night without disturbing anyone else, and take a nap later. I'll finish my coffee and start moving bookcases soon, but not yet. Right now I'll surf the blog ring. I haven't done that much lately.
Some other bloggers have a gift for stirring creative juices. I have never made a pillowcase in my life, I've never even thought of making a pillowcase in my life, but after seeing Mariko's wonderful tutorial - she makes French seams look so easy - now I want to make fun pillowcases. I'm envisioning pet bed covers, pillows for the futon, and fun gifties for my favorite little kids. I need to make myself a deal - I must bust my butt to get all my household moving/assembling/cleaning done this weekend, so I can hit Joann's during the week on my way home, and then next weekend I can actually pull out the sewing machine and attempt ze French seam. Every time I read her blog I feel happy and inspired, and I want to bake and bead and sew - why do my weekends get eaten up with chores and shopping and more chores?
My laundry hamper runneth over. How do I generate this much laundry? I just started the first load.
I need to iron. My work wardrobe would expand significantly if I ironed all the things that need it before Monday morning.
Cat hair tumbleweeds blow through the room when the a/c comes on. I swear I just vaccuumed. The furniture needs a good going over too.
The fish bowl, cat boxes, pet water fountain and the bathrooms all need cleaning.
The futon needs to be assembled, but first I have to move the bookcases back into the kitchen, which means I need to clean the kitchen floor of remaining paint drips and general grunge.
But first I'll surf the blog ring.
