The Trinity Stitch Shawl pattern. So easy, any idiot could do it. Well, today I proved that I am NOT JUST ANY IDIOT:

Pardon the blurriness of the photo but I snapped it on the fly and in disgust, before launching into the evening household chores. Note the way the last two rows of bobbles have broken out of formation and are marching to their own drummer, yet still in unison. I did this while cold sober and not talking on the phone. I did this early this morning, while drinking coffee. I managed to somehow, and I don't know how because I swear I was paying attention, get my bobbles out of whack. (Sounds like a medical condition that afflicts topless dancers.) Anyway, I am putting this sucker aside until I have time and patience to painstakingly pick out some very freaking long rows, or until I decide I don't like a Cotton Fleece shawl in the first place (because it sort of feels like a dishrag at this point) and frog the whole thing. Which may happen, because now I have enough fine Softball Cotton on hand to make a truckload of soft and easy shawls, if I am so inclined. Shawls I will crochet, because when you F it up at 5 a.m. because you stupidly picked it up and started working on it before fully awake, you can rip it out one stitch at a time.
