Grammar God!
You are a GRAMMAR GOD!

If your mission in life is not already to
preserve the English tongue, it should be.
Congratulations and thank you!

How grammatically sound are you?

See? I tole y'all that my sloppy blog writin' don't mean I can't write right!!

Found at The Drummond News. And somewhere in heaven several Sisters of St. Joseph, especially Sr. Margaret, are very pleased and exchanging high fives.

I'm amused that my rant on cropped pants got an answering rant from Bess. Her post contains a hilarious link to another rant against capri pants. While I'm not entirely anti-capri if they're cut right and the right length, I am vehemently anti-the-godawful-abominations-like-flared-mid-calf-baggy-things being passed off as capris. As Bess said, capris should be trim and fitted and not too long. But capris, like any dangerous fashion weapon, require a full length mirror and a critical assessment before walking out the door. Mine are just "No one will go blind looking at me," okay. They're a tad too long and a tad too unfitted, but they're adequate. They aren't Audrey Hepburn Perfection, but then neither am I. But, OTOH, they're also not the fuschia floral sequinned things I saw on a woman who was not only of A Certain Age, but definitely of A Certain Ass and Thigh Circumference where some sense of dignity should have prevented her from wearing them. Maybe Jessica Simpson could have gotten away with it, but nobody over 30 should go there, and certainly nobody way over 30. Capri pants - wear with extreme caution.

OTOH, as a resident of a very hot sticky state, I have decided capris have a certain merit. They keep the backs of my thighs from contacting hot or just unsavory seating surfaces. So I will wear my capris - with caution and only for casual occasions. And cropped pants remain an abomination.

I had a dream of knitting last night- I made the perfect felted bag. It was overall the same shape as the legendary Booga Bag but more squared off and sturdy - it could stand up on its own with no floppage. It was also in a fairly intricate striped pattern, but not the soft gentle Kureyon type - crisp stripes. Bold colors. When the knitfast is over perhaps I need to throw this onto the to-do list.
