Kitten Avec Whip is working on Bardot too. And appears to be making more progress than I have. Bardot is going on the road with me today, if my road trip insomnia is in its usual form, I should get in lots of knitting time. Right now I'm procrastinating packing, I'm not sure what to bring besides my knitting. I don't think anyone has ever defined "business casual" for a beach town in North Florida the week before the 500, but I'm pretty sure it means put a jacket over your NASCAR t-shirt. And it's supposed to rain the entire time we're there - which is not entirely a bad thing, because one of the issues in the case is water intrusion. I will dig through the closet of ill-fitting attire and find something, I hope. I also need to get the oil changed in the car at lunchtime, since I'm the driver on this little escapade, and hope the eye doctor's office calls with my new reading glasses before we leave, so I can rush over there and pick them up, and somehow in between get the boss prepped for the depos he's taking, because at this point I've got fresher knowledge of this case than he has (but we'll fix that this morning).

Yesterday I wore a very unforgiving size 10 fitted skirt to the funeral, no stretch at all in this baby, and it fit like a glove and I felt really good in it. Denise Austin has firmed up my middle like you wouldn't believe. My high heeled black pumps (aka "my good shoes") were killing me by the end of the day, though - when I gain weight, I gain it uniformly, all over, feet included, and when I lose it, I lose the same way. My shoes are now too wide, my feet slid too far forward in them, and my poor little toes were cramped and crushed all day. Add "new good shoes" to the ever-growing shopping list.

I'm outta here until at least Friday night, and I hope to report vast progress on Bardot when I return. The next Bardot photos should be of pieces on the blocking board.
