It's so awful - I really want to go clothes shopping again - now that I can fit into "nice" clothes again, I am becoming a shopaholic.
But not for yarn. I have given it up for Lent. I'll block Bardot this weekend and work on the Lo-Tech Sweat in Mission Falls Cotton, and maybe cast on that Fiesta yarns shawl, just because I can't wait to play with those colors. I have more than enough yarn and projects to keep me busy for the next few weeks, and a trip to the NotSoLocalYarnShop is a work avoidance excuse, and I know it. That's why "no yarn" works for me on different levels as a Lenten sacrifice, it's like several deadly sins rolled into one - gluttony (I've got plenty of yarn already) avarice (but I want more) lust (insert favorite brand of yarn here) sloth (I'd rather sit around knitting than do the things I should be doing) envy (reading about other people's yarn purchases makes me want some too) let's see, any others? Hmmm...I can't quite fit anger and pride into my yarn equation, but five out of seven is pretty impressive.
And on that note:

You are Sloth!
Lazy huh ?? You're a bit slow in getting going -
and tend not to do anything unless it is
absolutely necessary. You'd rather sit around,
watch TV/Sleep then go out and about with
friends, or take part in a sporting event. On
the positive side, you tend to be quite smart,
as you spend a lot of time watching the News
(!!) or on the computer, Also by conserving
your energy, it's right there waiting for you
when it's vitally important to get going.
Consider possibly moving out of the room once in a
while - and perhaps once a week trade watching
TV for half an hour with a walk - and you'll be
back on track.
However, Congratulations on being the most
intelligent of the 7 deadly sins...
