The Boogas are not the same size - proof, if you need it, of the truth spoken in "Felted Knits" - the same yarn may felt differently in different colors. I think the lighter colored blue-lavender bag felted down smaller because it took longer to felt at all. Just a theory. Also note that the red and orange bag has grommets. Am I grommet-tool-impaired, or does that damn thing just not work? I resorted to a hammer to install my grommets because no matter how I squeezed, it didn't pinch the things together enough to hold them in place. Maybe it's the thickness of the yarn, or maybe if you want grommets, buy the grommets and a hammer, skip the gadget. The grommets do give a nice finished look, but they're a pain.
Here's Girlchild's Kureyon scarf in progress:
That was one day's knitting progress, it's coming along quickly. I also have found Kureyon in a colorway for a nice Boy Yorkie sweater, so that is on the horizon.
Both Boy and Girl have weighed in on the fun of last night's Cousin Encounter - they feel like they finally met the Fun Side of the family. They were somewhat screwed, Relatively Speaking - elderly sickly grandparents, rarely seen rather flakey aunt, that was it. They were happy to meet relatives they could talk with and enjoy as people they'd like to hang out with regularly. It was a big hit.
