A busy and fun and productive day at work, now it's time to truly get my shit together. I leave for the airport before 7:30 tomorrow - my flight's not til 9:30 but the airport is a good hour away in morning traffic no matter how I go, and if I get there early I can grab a huge Starbucks white mocha and a muffin for the plane. (There is no truth to the rumor that I prefer to fly Delta because they have a Starbucks right near the gates.) I'm bringing both digital and regular camera, mindless knitting projects for plane and retreat, Denise needles and Felted Knits book for when I buy still more yarn and want to cast-on Right Now. I'm going to try to focus my yarn-buying frenzy on sport/DK weight feltables for projects I already have in mind, though if something major and different catches my eye, it'll be coming home. I'm not bringing too much for show and tell, really - teeny felted clogs and some socks, and my Wallaby only because I'm bringing it to wear, though it will clash horribly with the knit tops I'm packing. My suitcase space is not that expansive. And I'm sorry, I'm a Floridian, I have a leather jacket, that's my winter coat. I'm going to freeze my tropical ass off if that "nights in the 20s" report is true. But that's okay, I have frozen before, I am used to it. I'm cold when the temps hit 50 - 20 is like, totally unnatural.
This is the last update until maybe Sunday night if I have the energy when I get home, or more likely Monday morning during my wee-hours coffee drinking. Photos will be shared.
