Blah blah blah, blah blah blah busy. Blah stress blah insomnia blah. Blah blah, blah blah blah Sitcom Chic. Blah blah blah Market Bag blah blah. Blah blah blah Girl blah blah rental truck. Blah blah enormous electric bill, stupid hospital billing department, buy futon sofa blah blah blah, major hemorrhaging from bank account. Blah.
There you have it, the generic Bossy Dog post for the week. Sorry it's so blah. Things are happening in my life, but much must remain under wraps for now, because I know better than to count my watched pots before they hatch, or discuss confidential things on the Internet in front of a few million of my closest friends, because of some illusion of anonymity. I'm sometimes amazed by what people will say in blogs - I'm an open, "what you see is what you get" type, only a few things about my life are really off limits, but even I know where lines should be drawn. So I will just have to be mysterious and cryptic for now. I'm sure whatever you are imagining right now will be much more exciting than the reality anyway.
In the meantime, I have taken a week's vacation (actually, I'm off for the next ten days) to get stuff done. I finally conceded that it's just not possible to tackle some projects in the few hours available on the weekend, after errands and such, and then of course part of next week is Girl's Big Move, so might as well take off the entire week and be done with it. My friend is finally coming over this morning to pick up Girl's old bed for her daughter - it's been raining like hell here and her pickup truck doesn't have a shell. So that leaves a room of odds and ends, books and whatnot, to be sorted and either organized or disposed. I'm one of those people who can't bear to throw something away, not for sentimental reasons, but because, "Hey, it's still good, somebody could use that!" I'm finally admitting to myself that after something has aged for a few years and nobody has expressed the slightest interest in using it, it's safe to get rid of it. That statement covers about 50% of the contents of this house right now.
I'm very tempted by the thought of a trip to the Not-So-LYS today, since I'm actually off work while it is open, but I realize that this is just an avoidance behavior on my part - anything to avoid facing the Clutter of the Hall Closet. If I'm really, really good and get my work done over the next four days, I'll reward myself with a visit on Tuesday.
