So far, I see the same eye color, which appears to be my contribution to their genetic soup. My son has my eyes but my daughter's are different - the only place we thought we saw her eye color was in a picture of her paternal great-grandfather.

Girlmama and Miss D picked me up at a quarter after 7 - we hit the Starbucks drive-thru (nothing for Miss D) and arrived at the convention center at 8. We parked and rode a bus from hither to yon, baby and stroller in tow.  The shuttle bus drivers were very nice and stowed the stroller for us. The fridge here isn't keeping food cold enough. The freezer is almost, but not quite, freezing. The fridge is just a notch above properly cold. Both are on the maximum coldness setting, and it's just not cutting it. Food isn't staying fresh, and when you eat a diet very heavy on fresh produce, this is an issue. His thyroid is fine. His kidneys aren't perfect but aren't terrible yet. The vet said she had no simple explanation for his weight loss (he's down to barely 7 lbs) and our choice is to proceed with more tests $$$ - or put him on the kidney disease diet and just see how he does.
